Mozilla Firefox incorporará un lector de PDF en su Navegador
Recientemente se dio a conocer que Mozilla está trabajando en una tecnología capaz de soportar documentos PDF sin necesidad de ningún plugin, en cual tiene el nombre de pdf.js y que permitirá el abrir documentos con formato PDF en dicho navegador, una característica que ningún navegador del mercado ofrece actualmente pese a que se cuentan por miles de millones los documentos PDF que podemos encontrar en Internet.
Además de eliminar la necesidad de usar software externo, el soporte de PDF nativo evitará los problemas derivados de algunos lectores y plug-ins que no soportan determinadas características importantes como los enlaces en los documentos PDF.
El proyecto sigue aun en desarrollo y lo podremos probar desde people.mozilla.org, y su implementación no llegaría hasta después de Firefox 6.
